I have been an out patient for 5 years now after abnormal cells were discovered by my Gp during a smear and i came here to have a LLETZ procedure. I was then called in twice a year for colposcopy/smear tests. I have seen a number of consultants and nurses during my time and all have been utterly professional, efficient, friendly and the nurses so sweet and kind when they knew i was obviously nervous. They also discovered (and removed) some tissue that had been left after giving birth, as my own midwife/health care team (not at st Helliers) couldn't be bothered to examine me after birth! After my recent colposcopy i was told as i've had a clean bill of health for 5 ears the chances of me developing cervical caner are now very rare...amazing news- but they said i will be discharged to now go back for smears at my GP...while elated Im healthy...I'm also really sad to no longer be seen by this fantastic team here! (if any staff are reading this please could you let me know if i could request to still have my 3 yearly smears at St Helliers please? Im really anxious at the thought of now being seen by my GP?).
"Amazing, dedicated, professional service & care"
