"childrens day ward and MRI staff"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

My son 4, went in today for a mri scan under anaesthetic today. The staff in the childrens day ward are fantastic. I was a wreck and they calmed me down and took a great deal of time with my family. He went down for the scan and came out happy and unfazed by the whole experience. What and absolutely fabulous team. From start to finish we felt like our son was in safe hands. They explained everything to us and made us feel relaxed. They seen that my son loves spiderman and made sure he had a certificate with him on saying how brave he'd been when he came round. The childrens day ward was lovely and clean and the staff are just fabulous. All in all great team who made us feel good when we were worried sick. Thank you so very much.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. We appreciate how difficult it can be bringing children into hospital, so we are delighted to read about how much staff helped you. We are extremely grateful that you have taken the time to provide this feedback. Our staff work hard to try to ensure that a patient’s experience whilst at the hospital is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and they are always considerably heartened and motivated on learning how much their efforts have been appreciated. We have passed your kind sentiments to Children's Services. If we can be of further assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on freephone 0800 432 0251, email wih-tr.pals@nhs.net or in writing to PALS, Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park Road, Upton, Wirral, CH49 5PE.
