Having once again been treated promptly, efficiently and professionally by Consultants, Doctors, Nurses and various Health Staff from within Wigan Authority, I feel compelled to write and praise all of those concerned with supporting my continued well-being.
In October, I was due to have my annual Flu jab, I was feeling rather unwell, and having had two Angioplasties almost 8 years ago after Heart attacks, I was given an ECG in my GP’s surgery, which showed irregular heartbeats.
I was then sent to have a 24 hour heart monitor fitted at Leigh in November, and within a week was back at my GP to be given the results, confirming the irregularities.
My GP arranged an appointment with Dr Naqui within 6 weeks, and in early January, I had an Echocardiogram at Leigh Infirmary, followed by another appointment in which I was thoroughly examined, had a further ECG and advised by Dr Naqui that I had Ectopic heartbeats, but that the best course of action was to ‘leave well alone’ due to my overall otherwise good health,
In these days of constant pressure and negative reports about the state of the NHS, I am delighted to report that, for me at least, the service is running smoothly and efficiently. I am sure I am not the only one receiving this level of care, but good news seldom gets reported.
"The service is running smoothly and efficiently"
