"Dedicated performance by midwives in the Delivery Suite"

About: New Cross Hospital / Maternity care

(as a relative),

My daughter lives in Wolverhampton and on the 1st of July, 7am, she had to go into New Cross Hospital to have her first baby.

I, as her parent, was notified of this development and immediately joined her and her in-laws at the Delivery Suite. Child birth is certainly not "according to presciption" and with brand new mothers, the early-warning signs can be interpreted to mean "the end of time"(joke)

We however, spent a most eventful 12+ hours in the Suite.

This protracted stay was punctuated by numerous interventions and reassurances , not mentioning the many many cups of tea.

This is a big thank you to the all the midwives with special appreciation to Katie and her apprentice who delivered our lovely baby girl in room 1.

On another angle, their good work seemed to be regularly interrupted by having to make trips to adjoining rooms to borrow equipment or some other resource.

Thumbs up for such a sterling job and our heart-felt THANK YOU to them ALL.
