"I couldn't believe I had been sent home with something like that"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital / Accident and emergency Arrowe Park Hospital / General surgery Arrowe Park Walk In Centre

(as the patient),

I went to Arrowe Park walk-in 3 times in 2 days with terrible stomach pains, fever and just generally very unwell. 1st time I was sent away, saying I had a viral infection. 2nd time I was sent away, saying I had a urine infection and given antibiotics. I then went back later that day and was told it was a kidney infection. After becoming even worse and really quite ill, I went to Arrowe Park A&E where I was admitted with appendicitis and kept in for 5 days and had surgery. I couldn't believe I had been seen 3 times and sent home with something like that.
