"Treated with the utmost kindness and care"

Throughout my many visits to hospitals in Nottingham, I have been treated with the utmost kindness and care. Looking back, only two minor incidents have surprised me. Firstly, the morning after having my breast removed, whilst feeling rather tethered with bottles and bandages, I asked a nurse if I could have a glass of water and she told me it was on the trolley over my bed. I was lying on my back and had great difficulty sitting up. But then again, I made it, so she was probably right! The other time was when the dinner lady was reluctant to check what you wanted for dinner if you had popped out of your bed. You had on chance only, if you were not in your room at the appointed time, you went without!
