(as the patient),

I had an unfortunate accident which resulted in a break to my left hip in December.

The care I received whilst in Ninewells Hospital wards 16 & 17 was second to none.

I was cared for with the utmost professionalism, compassion and dignity, due to this commitment from all nursing & physiotherapy staff over a two week period I am now well on the road to recovery from my injury.

Being in hospital over the festive season & not being able to enjoy the company of my family was emotional however I felt the staff ensured I was supported and were always there with kind, caring words, they themselves made Christmas a special time for all.

I myself am a nurse and felt so proud of my colleagues and their excellence within a very hard profession.

Dear CCP

Thank you for sharing your positive experience of the care you received whilst a patient in Ninewells Hospital. I am sorry that your accident required you to be in hospital over the Festive Season and unable to enjoy the company of your family, however I am pleased that our staff made Christmas a special time for everyone.

The staff do work extremely hard to meet the needs of their patients and they will be delighted to know that their support and kind, caring words meant so much to you. I will ensure that your feedback is shared with the staff in Wards 16 and 17 and I am sure they will be delighted to hear that you are now well on the road to recovery.
