My mam was brought in last Saturday night and diagnosed with phumonia. she was x-rayed, seen by a doctor and on a ward within 8 hours. This may seem like a long time to most but what happens behind closed doors opened my eyes. Every bed was taken and there were patients on beds in the corridor with paramedics waiting patiently. The staff at the NHS are overworked and underpaid. The care my mam received was second no none and was thankfully discharged today. All the staff at the NHS deserve a huge pay rise.
