I attended the Day Surgery Unit yesterday for a Carpal Tunnel Release operation. I have to say that everyone I had contact with was professional, informed, kind and very caring. The unit was very clean and comfortable. All of the nurses that dealt with me were so lovely and they explained what was happening at every step. My surgeon came to see me to explain the procedure and to see if I had any questions. The procedure was quick and efficiently done and I probably drove the surgeon mad by chatting all the way through - although he said he didn't mind! Back to the ward within 20 minutes for a welcome cuppa and biscuit. I have had day surgery before at Hemel and Watford but St Albans wins hands down. Thank you all for making the experience quick, easy and almost enjoyable - you are a cracking team, every single one of you!
