"Can't fault the standard of care"

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary / High dependency unit Royal Albert Edward Infirmary / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was admitted to rainbow ward after a visit to our gp which ended up with us being transferred to A&E in an ambulance.

After being stabilised in the accident and emergency department he was transferred to the the high dependency unit located on the ward. My son received A1 treatment by a dedicated team of doctors and nurses.

He has now been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and they have been so helpful and taught us how to do his blood tests and his insulin injections. I honestly can't fault the standard of care at all.

Nothing is too much bother for the staff and they go above the call of duty to make your stay comfortable.

Thank you for taking the time to post your kind comments regarding your son’s admission from the Accident and Emergency Department to the High Dependency Unit. The Trust is very proud of it’s staff, and I will be sharing your posting with the staff involved in your son’s care, who I am sure will be very appreciative of your positive feedback.
