"Happy with my care at QMC"

I attended the one-stop vascular clinic on E floor at the QMC for a pre-assessment in May.

Despite the cramped conditions in the waiting area, I was satisfied with the facilities and services I received. The nursing staff were friendly and informative.

In June I went in for the operation and was subsequently taken to ward E16. Again I was satisfied with the staff’s attitude in both the clinic and the theatre. I had a long wait in theatre but the situation was explained to me and the staff kept an eye on me whilst I was waiting.

The decision after the operation was to keep me overnight. Ward E16 was clean and although the staff were under pressure due to admissions, they coped very well and were pleasant and professional.

The consultant and his team were on the ward at 8.30am and I was allowed home around 11.00am. I was quite happy with the treatment and the staff.
