"Care and Treament Exceeds All Expectations."

About: Wansbeck Hospital

The Ambulatory Care Unit. The media continues to portray doom and gloom within the NHS service and seldom is success and praise expressed and positive feed back passed back to the overstretched work force. I recently gave a 5 Star rating to you about my November 2014 visit to Wansbeck A&E department. Following my treatment at A&E i was referred to the Ambulatory Care Unit. where I underwent a number of visits evert 48 hours over a 2/3 week period for further tests and treatment. Feeling unwell and like most people I instinctively felt cautious and apprehensive about visiting a new department. - How wrong could I be!! Immediately upon my first visit to the unit both my wife and I Were introduced to members of the team and my symptoms and a treatment plan was outlined together with an explanation some of the tests to be undertaken.. During the different visits we met various team members they were just like one big happy family. Full continuity was maintained with my treatment plan thanks to the excellent communication within the unit each and every member of the team were extreemly caring and passionate in the course of undertaking their duties. My treatment plan has since been passed to the Cardiology department where I have already undergone one consultation and have a further appointment due within the next couple of days. I would like to pass on my sincerest thanks to the Ambulatory Care Unit. for the care , compassion and treatment received and to Wansbeck General Hospital for the excellent staff and service provided - truly a place of excellence.

Dear Roger, This lovely feedback will give our teams in emergency care such heart, and a welcome boost too for some tired legs no doubt ! Having recently visited Wansbeck, you will appreciate how busy A&E services across the region and country have been - so it means everything to our staff to know that despite those pressures they have been able to deliver care of an exceptional standard, and pay attention to all the things that we know really matter. Thank you so much for taking the time to share the detail in your story. The coordination and consistency of care and the warmth and compassion of our staff is exactly the kind of quality experience we’re aiming for. It felt lovely to pass on your kind words of appreciation last night. I do hope that your next appointment goes well and that you enjoy a happy and healthy 2015. Take good care, Annie
