Thank you to the maternity staff for excellent care, from the member of staff in the Fertility clinic who gave first class care through a number of miscarriages (I couldn't have asked for better support), the calm & friendly theatre staff who put both my partner and myself at ease when they performed my c-section and the invaluable advice & support from the Care Assistants & Midwives on Marsh ward. The one thing I was very worried about was poor communication skills of some staff having heard of bad experiences from friends. As it happened I only met a few of these staff, and everyone who cared for me had excellent communication which made my experience a lot more relaxing than if there had been communication barriers. The only thing I could fault was the food whilst on a Marsh Ward. The main meals (eg the hotpot & bean chilli) were very tasty, nutritious and filling so top marks there, but the soups tasted as if they were from a packet and were watery, tasteless and hardly nutritious.
