"Thank you to the team and my wonderful family"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Adult Mental Health Services - Community (City)

(as the patient),

I was in hospital for 14 months with psychosis. I have schizoaffective disorder. I have been discharged since July 2014.

I started taking overdoses as a way of coping with anxiety and have taken a total of 20 in the last year and a half. When I was discharged from hospital I started therapy with Lyndsey at Manor Road in Carlton.

First I done distress tolerance and now I am doing Stop and Think in a group. I havent overdosed for 3 and a half months and I am certain it is because of my efforts and Lyndseys in therapy, as well as the support of my CPN, Melissa and Psychiatrist Dr Steels.

I am very proud of myself for not overdosing anymore as it was tearing the family apart and making me ill.

Thank you to Gedling Community Mental Health Team and thank you to my wonderful family. x
