After delivering my second daughter, following a seemingly straightforward birth, albeit very fast! ! Just as we were due to be discharged, I haemorraged. Badly. I quickly became very ill. Despite being incredibly busy, my deliverý room which 5 seconds previously, had only contained myself, my husband, one midwife and my newborn baby, was suddenly full to the brim of other midwives, Dr's and nursing assistants. All of whom were incredibly efficient, caring, empathetic and showed incredible skill in how they quickly cared for me (and calmed me down)
The care I received following my haemorrhage, was second to none. I had a midwife solely for me yet again in the delivery suite as well as several NA's and regular visits from Dr's to ensure I was stable and that my blood loss was carefully monitored.
A very very terrifying experience for me in what should have been a happy time.
Cannot praise the staff on delivery enough for their care and compassion.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You were amazing.
