"Will I ever get my results???"

I had a colposcopy at the end of October and was told the results and follow up appointment would be sent to me in between 4-6 weeks. After 6 weeks, I rang to chase them up and was told by the extremely unhelpful (and rather rude!) secretary that "they have had staffing issues, so gthere have been delays sending out results". She was unable to tell me when I would receive my results, and said to call back if I still had not had them within 2 weeks. It is now well over 2 months after testing, I still haven't had any results and she still can't tell me when I will get them. Also, the secretary for my consultant only works Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays so she is very difficult to get hold of,adding to my frustrations! Since no one else on the ward seems able to help me, I've found the whole experience so far extremely distressing and would advise other patients to go elsewhere if they can.
