"A waste of time and money"

My wife had been back and forth to doctors over past 18 months or so with stomach and back pains diagnosis being IBS. Then diverticulitis but things got progressively worse until a CT scan was arranged for march last year. A week or so before scan I had to ring 111 a and they arranged for me to take her into see doctor at nearest hospital he said not diverticulitis.

We left with pills next day had ring 999 they said they should only take her if she was unconscious but took her anyway X-Ray said all ok. 2 days later had to take her again to A and E told to give her plenty of water and was sent home on day of scan went to AandE first asked when results would be known Dr said he would check before we left then he told us as far as he could see everything was ok we left thinking all ok.

The following week we had to see specialist who told us that my wife had tumour on pancreas and was un-operable from that day her life ended and she passed away 5 months later.

The AandE virtually turned my wife away when she was terminally ill I feel let down by the whole institution even though the outcome was enevatable it was a complete waste of time and money.
