I was very upset on the morning of my major gynaecological operation having to sit and wait in a dark room which looked dirty for 7 hours waiting for a bed to become available. (I realise there were many patients waiting but I think if the room was made more acceptable, the stress would have been much less.) I did mention this to the matron when she did a ward round during my stay in hospital, she assured me something would be done. I hope this is the case.
Once I was given a bed everything went well, the treatment and nursing care on Loxwey ward was excellent. The cleaning and catering staff were brilliant on all three occasions. I cannot fault the way my illness has been dealt with. I was frightened but was reassured and am very grateful for everyone that has helped me through this.
"Very grateful to everyone"
