Semt to ROH by my GP for an urgent referral with suspected chrones disease. This was at the end of September, was finally seen around middle of December. The doctor and other staff were all great in outpatients b couldn't fault a single one of them, I was told by the doctor that examined me I would hear about an appointment within 2 weeks, yet almost a month later I am waiting again, getting worse, losing weight quickly (over 4 stone in just under 4 month) risking my job having time of because the pain can get that bad! If it wasn't something so serious I wouldn't be as annoyed as I am with ROH but it is serious and runs in my family, in which my grandma almost lost her life to! I know its not all to do with the hospital and the booking people you use are a lot worse. Phoned numerous times to see about my appointment and just get passed from person to person to be told they dont do urgent appointments and to phone my GP which I did for the booking place to phone me back and then say my appointment is urgent and that the waiting list is months for urgent cases! What needs to happen actually get an appointment here do I need to get so ill I have to be admitted to hospital just like my grandma?
"still waiting"
