"Care of elderly"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a relative),

My extremely frail and vulnerable aunt (87 years old) had a fall resulting in a broken hip, post operative she has been subjected to some very rough treatment by nurses who are bathing and aiding her to become mobile.

This is causing her much distress. At a time of her life when gentle care is extremely important. I would ask better attention be paid to her complaints not a "stop moaning" and "push her over this way".

My father received similar treatment here several years ago. I am concerned that this is common practice in RAH.
