I went for a hearing test at local high-street opticians. The test was conducted in a room right by the main reception desk and I could hear all that was going on. I was told I needed a more thorough test but I refused because I told them I was not happy with the noise levels in the store. I did the test over the telephone which told me to mention it to my GP next time that I saw him. 3 weeks later I am fixed up with 2 hearing aids, thanks to Specsavers in Wellington, where the test was carried out in a soundproof booth. The audiologist there was really lovely + explained everything in full detail. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.
