In 2010 I had my last bone density scan. I am being monitored, following early menopause and end of 5 years HRT. I was told to have another in 4 years (due Sept 14)
In the meantime, I was diagnosed in March 14 with coeliac disease and my consultant said I should have bone scans. He expressed annoyance that, unlike his department, Robert Jones Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital do not book appointments ahead, or organise follow ups. It was down to me to remind my GP that the 4 years were up on the “routine” scan schedule, and for him to make a referral to RJAH, in order to book the appointment they told me I needed. Why do they not follow up on these appointments?
My appointment on the 19th was very efficiently dealt with – all the staff were lovely and the automatic check in is great
"Dealt with very efficiently although would like to be followed up on appointments"
