"An outstanding specialist and team!!!!"

My husband recently had major surgery for cancer in Cheltenham General Hospital. The care and professional expertise provided by Mr Tony Goodman and his team was outstanding. At every point we were kept informed, received the most timely of treatment and were provided with continual on going support.

Mr Goodman in particular is outstanding. There are many, many good specialists within the hospital however there are very few with the human touch. Whilst always remaining professional, he was factual, caring and supportive. The team that surrounds him feeds off his character and we are genuinely told by many that both patients and staff alike hold him in the highest of esteem.

We have entered other departments within the hospital that are not run in quite the same manner. In my opinion, many of the specialists have the number mentality rather than the human one. I believe this is now part of the system we are in, however I would inform anyone suffering with, being diagnosed with, or requiring surgery that a much better surgeon/specialist you will not find. At a time when you feel your most vunerable you need to feel secure in your treatment and your surgeon.

Well done Team Goodman but in particular Tony Goodman where we believe the excellent care journey begins.
