"Hysterectomy at Rotherham District General Hospital"

I had a hysterectomy last week under the care of Mr Fenton. He explained everything clearly. My anesthetist Dr Stacey was equally clear in explaining what was going to happen and the pain relief that would be available after the operation. Mr Fenton reviewed me almost every day.

The care on ward B11 by the nurses was very good. Both the day and night staff were very caring and tried to keep noise to a minimum.

Unfortunately, in my opinion the food was terrible. It did not aid my recovery. I found it to be neither healthy nor appetizing. If the meal trolley started at the other end of the ward, by the time it got to my bay the choices were very limited. I found that fruit was not easily available either.
