"Breast Care, chemotherapy and Oncology Units."

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

I have just completed a course of six chemotherapy sessions for breast cancer. I was absolutely terrified when I started the course, but thanks to the incredible staff on the Ward the whole experience was made almost pleasant, and certainly nothing to be afraid of. All the staff without exception in the Breast Care Unit, Oncology Ward and Chemotherapy Unit were polite, professional and cheerful. There were no delays in my treatment and I was never kept waiting for more than a few minutes for any of my appointments even though the staff are incredibly busy and never seem to stop. Every stage of my treatment has been explained fully to me and I have received written copies of the letters issued to my GP. I am very grateful for my treatment which I know is very expensive, but I don't think it could have been any better anywhere in the world. I don't know what the outcome will be, but I'm not afraid of the treatment any more. Maureen.
