"Barnsley Hospital brilliance"

I've suffered with nasal problems and asthma for over 8 years. I've seen lots (I mean lots!) of doctors, specialists - even alternative practitioners and pharmacists too - all to no avail. I've been swamped with nasal sprays, steroids, etc for years and nothing has been noticed with a view to cure/worthwhile treatment etc.

It has been miserable! Snoring, constant sneezing, blocked nose, asthma. I've seen docs and specialists for years all over UK, including teaching hospitals in Cambs and South Yorkshire.

Until NOW! My brilliant GP in my surgery in Barnsley referred me to a truly brilliant specialist in ENT Barnsley Hospital - he took one look inside my nose followed by immediate diagnosis and treatment plan. A few weeks later I was treated in Day Case unit by some of the most caring, professional, reassuring staff (all of them) I have ever met.

I felt looked after, respected and knew they were all highly professional, capable and did justice to the ENT specialist who had referred me.

Its early days and I am recovering but already my symptoms of the last x years are depleting.

So a big thank you to the brilliant GP and surgery in Barnsley and a big thank you to the wonderful Specialist and ALL Day Case staff in Barnsley District General hospital.

First rate top notch crew.
