I have been admitted to hospital 4 times, this was my 4th admittance through the emergency services.
I was placed in Springfield hospital, and this was my version of hell. I had all my family, my possessions taken away from me. I was left in isolation, with a bed and a chair and no access to the toilet for hours. I had a shower with my clothes on to escape the situation and then I was left with my sports bra and 3 wet towels. Of these I used the driest one to cover my decency. It felt worse than jail.
In the early hours of the next morning, I was transferred to Rose Ward, Queen Mary's Hospital. I do not remember the conversation with the doctor, but this helped so much. The staff at Queen Mary's were amazing and so caring. Here I was able to fully recover. Thanks so much to all the staff there.
I would also like to thank staff for their support in Recovery College. They have changed my life in the service they have provided through this and offering to help further. They have gone beyond the call of duty to offer help in a time of great need.
