"Wisdom tooth removal"

About: Manor Hospital

I was referred to the hospital by my dentist because I have a wisdom tooth which is growing at an angle. I have waited 20 weeks for a appointment then I finally got a letter telling me I had been referred to a private hospital in Birmingham because there is a long waiting list at the manor, so I phoned the Birmingham hospital who then told me they had not had a referral from the manor and I need to go back to there so they can give them the referral, so I phoned the main switch board who put me through to bookings who then told me I was in the wrong place and they gave me another number to phone so I went through the same thing again to be told I was in the wrong place so she put me through to someone else so I told her what was happening and she said she new nothing about anyone beefing referred to a private hospital and she would have to investigate and get back to me. After two hours she phoned me back to say because I have been waiting so long it is a new thing they have started to do, she also said that I could still have an appiontment to go there if I wanted she said she had two available for four days time I could not believe it having gone through all of that. So I finally got to my appointment at 1.30 in the afternoon the lady on reception was on the phone having a social chat about Christmas then finally she put the phone down then she said she couldn't book me in because she had not had any files delivered yet and told me to go and sit down then eventually they came she booked me in I wited five minutes the nurse came out to take my file then five minutes later she came back with it and she gave it back to the receptionist, she then called me by the wrong name she told me they had not got a referral from my dentist and they needed there address and telephone number so they could get it fax over so I gave her the details and waited an hour for them to arrive when they came I was then told I had to have an X-ray so I had my X-ray and went back to see the consultant to be told my wisdom tooth will have to be removed under general anastectic and I need to go to the booking suite to book in when i got there the girl told me there was a 18 week waiting time I could not believe it .
