I have just come back from my first visit to Grimsby Hospital and my first MRI Scan, appointment 17.20. Not a good experience on any account. Toilets really dirty and soiled. My biggest complaint though would be the music played through the headphones when I was in the scanner. It was far too loud, and it was awful music, like some nightclub stuff. The noise from the scanner I could cope with but why hurt my eardrums with music that would be suitable for a sleazy pop chart. I never ever listen or would go to somewhere to hear that it makes me feel sick and panicky/ I had asked beforehand was is tolerable and was told by young radiographer that it was great. Surely it is not beyond the realms of human kindness to have something neutral and calming for people to listen to, and so loud I feel sick. Why should a person of my age be subjected to such an experience I shall complain. My ears are still throbbing.
