"babys birth"

About: Royal Gwent Hospital / Maternity care

(as a relative),

At the end of December my daughter went to maternity for the third time in labour. my daughter was booked in for c section in early jan and was told if she went into labour to go sooner rather than later to hospital which we did. we arrived and was seen by a midwife on b4. she assessed her and said yes she in labour. we explained what had happened on her previous births and told her to tell dr on mdu. we were left for hrs, she was in terrible pain and given two paracetamals after 3 hrs. the dr came and said emergency caesarean got her gowned up and ready. hrs later still waiting. by now my daughter was screaming in pain. we were so distraught kept asking why you leaving her. said waiting for bloods and more excuses.

she went over to mdu it was horrendous. my daughter was crying we were distraught. it was now 5 oclock in the morning they rushed her over and another midwife took over. we told her she was trying to ask my daughters history as the notes were lost. I was disgusted. she kept saying she can bring the baby. my daughter was hysterical by now in pain all time. she knew she had gone too far and baby was ready. they eventually took her to theatre at about 5 30 still screaming. it was horrendous. I know if she could have delivered naturally she would have. they just left her for hrs. disgusted to the way my daughter had to go through hrs of horrific pain. she had c section then was told her pelvic too small which is what we had been trying to tell them all night but they did not listen to us at all. no notes. never came to say she had the baby left me till 9 30 worrying are they ok.

I will be writing to the head of nhs. one midwife to care for people is disgusting. my daughter is very affected by how they treated her it will affect her and us very deeply. It was like a third world country the royal gwent hospital is a disgrace in my opinion. it has got worse the last years not better
