Had a suspicious mole removed by the plastics department at Lister. I was really happy with the whole procedure and the whole hospital in general. Apart from them leaving an internal stitch sticking out of my skin so I had to pull it out with tweezers. And the consultant making a personal comment about me to my GP, about me being a pleasing lady (tad inappropriate). However the main issue came after I had the minor operation - they told me it would be 4 to 6 weeks til I received the result of the mole biopsy. I was a bit worried during this time as the mole could be something more serious. Anyway about 9 weeks has passed! Haven't heard a peep. So I called today (Friday) to remind them and they booked me in straight away (for Monday) to get my results! This made me think - how long have they had my results lying around for? And if I hadn't called them, would they have ever told me? I shouldn't really have to prompt them, they should contact me as soon as they have the result. Also they mentioned something about being really busy...
"Took ages to get back to me with results"
