"A& E"

About: King George Hospital

I had to take my 85 year old mother to A & E on New Years Eve. She was treated with respect and kindness by every member of staff we came into contact with. Even when I had to leave she told how kind everyone had been. Whilst we were waiting the police bought in a very drunk lady and just left her there for the staff to deal with, this they did with great patience, she did not need to be there as she was not unwell or injured just intoxicated. I feel it is very unfair on these hard working and overworked staff to have deal worth these kind of situations.

Thank you for commenting on NHS Choices. I am really pleased that your mother found our staff to be so kind, it is really great to receive this feedback. They do work really hard and I will be pleased to pass your feedback onto our staff. Yours sincerely, Flo Panel-Coates Chief Nurse
