"Faith Restored in NHS!"

I was referred to Papworth about 5 months ago, I will eternally be appreciative for Papworth and the diagnosis. I have arthritis and have long suffered with excessive sleepiness always put down to the arthritis. However my GP referred me to Papworth, where I stayed for overnight testing, in comfortable, clean and well facilitated hospital room. I was instantly put at ease through the staff and their approach, as I was apprehensive about staying as I am 19 and usually my parents would stay as long as possible when I am admitted to Addenbrokes. However I was made comfortable and the staff were friendly and informative. The food and drink provided were excellent. The time from referral, to consultation, to diagnosis was outstanding and I have been impressed with the follow up appointments. The staff go out of their way to help with my every need. This hospital has changed my whole lifestyle and ability to live day to day. As well as not simply dismissing the condition as I have experienced previously in other hospitals. I can not rate them enough for how profession, organised and clean the ward and outpatients is 100% of the time. I would like to use this review as a thank you for the consultant, the nurses as well as all of the other staff (Receptionists, cooks, cleaners etc) for helping to improve my life and always listening and putting me at ease. If only all NHS hospitals could be like this! Many Thanks
