"Major surgery and felt like a VIP"

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) (London)

I went in for major surgery on 03/06/2014 I was well looked after and after my op was treated like a VIP in recovery, one of the nurses stayed with me and held a cold glove on my head where I was so hot. I was in recovery for over 12 hours while they found me a bed on a ward but they treated me extreamly well. Once onmy ward the nurses where wonderful. my saty was longer than I expected due to complications and high temp. I needed a blood transfusion. Only issue was DRs did not communicate as much as I wanted, I spent alot of time not having a clue what was going on with my care. Nurses where amazing though
