About: Watford General Hospital

I have been in and out of Watford General with both my mother of 83 and my partners sister of 82 throughout, what seems like, the whole of 2014. From intensive care, through wards, A and E, AAU and clinics, I have witnessed the most amazing service. Without exception, each member of staff, from doctors, nurses, HCA's and all the other service providers within the hospital, we have had kindness, efficiency, warmth and expertise. Each and every time I have approached a member of any staff, or my relatives have needed care, it has been given with incredible warmth and a bright smile. The dignity that I see awarded to all patients is second to none. The cleanliness of the entire hospital is excellent. The general feeling of helpfullness and kindness prevails throughout all the members of staff across the entire hospital. My mother is to be discharged tomorrow following a period in hospital over Christmas. My family were able to visit daily, including Christmas day, safe in the knowledge that my mother was being looked after so incredibly well and with the kindness that I have come to expect. I can only thank you for being utterly wonderful and a credit to Bevin and his idea of the NHS being 'cradle to grave. All the staff at your hospital keep that sentiment alive. I thank you all so very much
