About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I contacted 111; the operator was efficient and a 1st responder quickly arrived at my home. He was able to assist me and assess me whilst listening to my medical history and remained calm whilst in control of the situation; requesting backup, as I lost consciousness and become unresponsive. The ambulance crew arrived quickly and the decision was made to do a lying and standing ecg which showed my heart rate rising rapidly on standing, leading me to feel breathless and very faint. I am very grateful to everyone. Thank you.
