"Unbelievably positive"

About: Western Infirmary/Gartnavel General / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

In December 2014 I was admitted to level 8, of the Western infirmary via the A&E department. I have nothing but praise for every member of staff that was involved in my treatment. Although my situation was relatively minor compared to patients around me I received first class care and attention. Despite the fact that several of the staff were working over the Xmas & new year holidays the mood was unbelievably positive. Thanks to all involved

.Hello – my name is Niall Mc Grogan. I lead a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde that seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. We support our colleagues seek and use feedback to help make improvement to services. We also engage with community and voluntary groups to help build relationships with local people and their hospitals. First may I apologise for the time it has taken me to respond to you.

And may I also thank you so much on behalf of the staff at the Western Infirmary, both at A and E and on level 8. Its so kind of you to have taken the time to share your experiences here on Patient Opinion. The fact that you had a good patient experience, getting first class care is wonderful to hear and makes our jobs worthwhile. I will share this with colleagues.
