"Cancer Treatment 2014"

About: Warwick Hospital

In January I was diagnosed with bowel cancer by the endoscopy doctors. My operation was booked for a couple of weeks later and the tumour was removed. I was kept fully informed of the proposed treatment and the likely outcomes throughout. My stay on Willoughby Ward was my first stay in a hospital (I am 64) and every person I came into contact with was kind, professional and friendly. My chemotherapy treatment began at the end of April at the excellent Aylesford unit and lasted for six months - consisting of eight cycles of treatment. Again, every single contact I had with the staff was excellent from both a human and a medical point of view. There was not a single exception to this. It sounds ridiculous to express this but I actually enjoyed my contacts with all the staff throughout the last year. I would recommend one hundred per cent to anyone who needs this type of care that Warwick Hospital is the place to go. I am very grateful for the care I have enjoyed.
