I was booked to give birth at home but on the night of labour things didn't go to plan and unfortunately I had the baby at heartlands where I was moved to a lowrisk ward in a room and left for an hour and a half before someone came to say hi.... bearing i n mind I went to the hospital alone not expecting to stay there to have the baby, finally when the nurse in charge came to see me and I told her I was burning hot and I really needed some water please.. she didnt get me any although there was only one other patient on the ward... after the exhausting and scary labour, I was transferred after 6 hours to the ward where I had glares from the nurses as if having a baby was a crime and I was being punished for it, no food, being made fun of by nurses and teased aswell as being told at 10.30am that I could go home soon for the whole day until at 8.30pm finally discharged and told by the head nurse before leaving 'see you again'.. with a laugh!...
