"rude staff"

About: Leeds General Infirmary

In PICU if doctors or nurses have cold n caugh, they are allow to work with children and they don't have fear of spreading infections but if any parent got cold and caugh, staff have problem and tell the parent to not to see their child. How is this possible, as a parent if my child is in ICU I really want to see him/her.in that case doctors and nurses shouldn't working when they got cold/flu. staff is really rude and not involving parents in relation to their child's care. NHS should improve their services.

Thank you for taking the time out to write to us regarding your experience at the Leeds General Infirmary’s pediatric intensive care unit, I have passed your comments on to the Head of nursing and the Matron for for pediatric intensive care to look into further. It would be beneficial for the care of our future patients for us investigate the issues you have raised. If you could contact the Trust’s Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS). It would also allow us to look into the matters you have raised in further detail and see if we can learn from your experience. Please call our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0113 2067168 or alternatively email patient.relations@leedsth.nhs.uk . With kind regards Rosie Senior Nurse Patient experience
