"Poor maternity doctor response and care"

About: Good Hope Hospital / Maternity care

(as a relative),

My wife and I are again sitting in maternity with huge problems. She's pregnant and vomiting for over 24hrs and totally dehydrated tired and confused. 3hrs in maternity and the doctor has visited but says IV fluids are an intervention of great risk! ? We are dumbfounded yet don't want to complain directly to ward staff- but don't know who to appeal to except. Have tried a senior manager but no reply as yet. She's thrown up 4times whilst here and the baby is distressed more and more. No care plan is as yet advised or actioned. Wonder if the managing director would help
