"Made to feel at ease"

About: Wrightington Hospital

I was admitted on the 18th December 2014. The hospital and ward 1 was spotlessly clean, the nurses were really good and made you welcome. Because I was admitted as a trauma patient I was there all day but I didn't mind. I saw the upper limb specialist before the op and he explained what they were going to do, he also explained it in a way that made me feel at ease, but the best was yet to come. The two gentlemen anesthetists were so funny when preparing me for the op, they were like Statler and Waldorf from the muppets, sorry guys but it is a compliment, I'm sure they could see I was nervous but they made me laugh and very relaxed, they were chatting to me I'm sure until the general anaesthetic kicked in. Once back on the ward I was the only one left, the nurses on duty couldn't do enough, thanks for all the tea and biscuits. I would like to say thanks to everyone that made me feel at ease.
