I called 999 when my wife had a bad asthma attack at around 6: 00 pm. The ambulance arrived within 10 minutes and the paramedic was excellent. He stabilized my wife and made sure she was comfortable before leaving.
Unfortunately my wife’s condition deteriorated during the evening and we needed to call 999 again. The ambulance crew stabilized my wife again and stayed with her much longer to try and manage her condition so that she would not need to be taken into hospital, this is something we were keen to avoid.
The ambulance men were very sympathetic and caring, giving me and my wife good advice about calling 999 again if her condition got worse. This advice was very helpful and reassuring.
