"They gave my friend a good check over and were fantastic"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as a friend),

My friend had a fall during the day but was unable to call for help until sometime later when she called me, 3-4 hours had passed and she had been lying on the floor for that time.

I called 111 and was told they would send an ambulance which arrived about an hour and a half later. The ambulance crew, Mark and Scott, were fantastic, they gave my friend a good check over and stayed with her for over an hour to make sure she was stable and would not need to be admitted to hospital.

Good Afternoon Quote101

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story with us - I hope your friend is recovering after her fall.

It is so lovely to hear how our staff are continuing to provide excellent service to patients when they need it most.

We would like to share your kind words with the staff involved in your friend's care, but we will need a little more information in order to identify them. May I ask you to contact me, at your convenience, on either sara.coburn@swast.nhs.uk or 01392 261 552 and we can discuss this with you.

Thank you, again, for giving us your feedback.

Sara
