Over a month ago, during the night I was admitted to Shrewsbury Hospital with severe hip/lower stomach pain. Medic was called about 3: 30am. Very thorough examination and very professional. Said ambulance would be taking me to Shrewsbury A&E department. Arrived quite quickly. Walked to ambulance with difficulty told to leave stick behind as they always disappeared. (found this to be true by previous experiences) Ambulance chaps were very caring and put me on a good air machine to alleviate the pain. Hospital A&E was not so good. Kept in a room for about 6 hours before admitting. Ward staff wonderful. Results – no conclusion reached despite 3 lots of x-rays and a scan.
