"Want to get well.......then avoid this place!"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

Suspect that the nursing staff here run an in house competition as to who can make the most noise. Crashing trolleys, slamming bin lids, listening to radios, faulty beds bleeping, shouting, arguing.......it never ends. Ah, I thought, it's to stop the poor patient from sleeping during the day so they sleep through the night. Wrong, the noise continues after lights out. Ward doors are left open so the frivolous activities of the nursing staff permeates the inner sanctum of the sick. Then just as one manages to nod off the blood pressure machine comes around. I'll never forget the sound of expanding velcro, warning buzzers and it's operator asking "can I just take your blood pressure love?" .

We’re really sorry that the noise has caused issues for you during your stay. We would be grateful if you could contact our Patient Relations Service so we can investigate and ensure that you receive a personal explanation of the circumstances. Please would you call them on 01539 795497
