"The NHS as it should be."

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

I first noticed that I had a problem with one of my eyes on Sunday afternoon. I went to my optician on Monday morning (I didn't even bother with trying to get a GP appointment). The optician referred me to my local hospital (only 30 miles away) and I was seen that afternoon. The local hospital referred me to Queens Medical centre where I saw a consultant Wednesday morning, the consultant operated on Thursday afternoon. and I am now on the road to recovery.

What great news that you are on the road to recovery. It’s good to hear you were seen by our experts so quickly after being referred by your optician. Thanks for sharing your experience, which may be helpful to reassure others who may be in a similar situation.
