"Excellent, kind and patient nurses"

About: Victoria Infirmary (Northwich)

I would really like to pass on my thanks to the two nurses who were working in the minor injuries dept yesterday afternoon (19th dec). I brought my 4 year old son in who had lodged a small toy part up his nose. I felt my son was treated with a high level of respect and dignity. They managed to balance this out with good humour at what was an embarrassing incident for my son. They also introduced me to the mothers kiss (vital bit of info which I'll be storing away)! Although we eventually had to go to Leighton and then to North Staffs to get the toy out I cannot praise the two ladies highly enough for their help, understanding and clear communication. As I am heavily pregnant they were also very kind and considerate of me which I was touched about! Please if possible pass on my thanks. An excellent facility in Northwich which I would highly recommend!

Thank you for your lovely comments. I will ensure they are shared with the two members of our team. I hope your son is recovering from his experience. Sue Talbot-Crosby, Matron, Emergency Department
