"Lack of help"

About: April House

(as the patient),

I self referred to service and at the assessment was told that they could not help me. I have had anorexia for 10 years and this is the first time I have asked for help having been forced into treatment many times. I was working on recovery but have now gone back into old behaviours because no one would help me

I would like to thank you for taking the time to post your valuable feedback and I was sorry to hear about your experience.

Enquiries have been made with the team at April House who have informed me that they conducted a thorough assessment and as a result it was felt at the time that you would benefit from a service not currently offered by the Eating Disorder Service.

The Eating Disorders Service will review you in the New Year to see whether your needs have changed.

If you would like to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact Complaints and PALS on 02380 874065 who will be happy to help you.

Kind regards

Jane Tibble

Complaints and PALS Officer
