"I was well looked after"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Cardiology

(as the patient),

On Friday 11th May at 11am I had a drop in blood pressure causing sweating, nausea and dizziness. My wife phoned for an ambulance and the paramedics arrived within 20 minutes. I was given oxygen, my blood pressure was taken and I had an ECG. The ambulance arrived five minutes later and took me to A&E at QMC. There they took an ECG and my blood pressure several times. I was given a saline drip and my blood was taken for tests. After approximately three hours I was taken to ward B3. There were more blood pressure checks and another drip was given. I stayed in overnight. I consider I was well looked after and thought all the nursing staff were very good. On the Saturday morning I saw the doctor who said that my medication needed changing (he reduced the strength of Atentol & Monosorbide). I was then interviewed by the pharmacist who supplied new pills. I left for home at approximately 1.00pm. I have no complaints! I was well looked after. The food was reasonable and the ward was noisy but I understand why.
